You must take the time to read and confirm you understand everything on this page before commissioning me!By commissioning me you agree to everything stated on this page.
All Terms of Service are subject to revision at any time without notice.All clients must be 18+
Starbird Art has the right to ask for legal proof of age.I have a cat, please reconsider commissioning me if you have cat allergies!I am a new maker. It is unreasonable to ask me to construct complex design ideas at this time. If unsure, send me your ref or ideas and I can let you know if it is too difficult.
Communication
☆I will communicate over telegram(preferred) or if no telegram, email. Any questions I have for you regarding your fursuit need to be answered as soon as possible. In the meantime I will work on other commissions until you are available, this means that it will take longer to receive your suit. If you are going away or won't be available for a period of time let me know beforehand.
If there is a set deadline but it passes the ETA because of lack of communication and answering any questions I have regarding the progression of the suit, I am not at fault for the deadline being passed.
Reference Given
☆The fursuit will be crafted using the reference images given, if a customer requests the outcome to be reworked to look differently to the reference extra charges will incur for any material needed to make the changes and time spent doing so but this needs to be explained at the START of production. With the go ahead construction will begin and if you change your mind or have design ideas to be implemented later on, they may not be possible.
If something is not shown (e.g this character has eyebrows you can't see in the ref) or not explained on the ref I will construct the suit using my own techniques and style.☆It will be up to me to accept or deny the changes if they are not possible to do so or have labor or time restraints. I won't take on a request for something out of my skill level.
Fursuits will be made to a high standard of construction, using techniques and patterns that exist currently (I use tutorials online and pre existing paw patterns etc)☆All craftsmanship will be done using my style and personal inspiration. I will not accept changes made to a suit because it does not look like a pre-existing fursuit unless stated specifically that the customer wants that PRIOR to starting the fursuit.☆Only inspiration will be used from pre-existing fursuits and I will not copy or recreate designs that are not mine or on the reference given.
Fursuits based off fictional character designs (cosplay fursuits or clothing) is okay.

Duct Tape Dummy
☆For full Suit only, Duct Tape Dummies are to be taped together at the seams before sending, and properly made. Please draw X's along the cut seam so I can line the seam back up if needed.
If a DTD is unusable you will be required to send another one at your own cost. Arms must be outstretched in a T position, with arms not being bent.
Please only use 2-3 layers ideally cloth tape instead of stretchy duct tape, and make sure it is taped up against your crotch or the suit may not fit properly.
Work in Progress (wip)
☆I will post Work in Progress photos and videos on my telegram and twitter, if you do not want your suit featured publicly you must notify me before any work has commenced.
Do not post or use work in progress photos that I have sent to you over private telegram chat.
PAY INFORMATION
☆Payments will be shown in whatever currency for your country you entered in your quote form. By default the currency I use is AUD.
Australians are encouraged to use bank transfer or payID, overseas customers PayPal.
Invoice for Australians will have a no paypal warning, if paypal is used, the fee will need to be paid to me.☆A deposit of 40% will be required before starting the fursuit for material cost and planning. This is not refundable, unless no purchases have been made.If paid by cash (not usually accepted) No refund is given for cash payments.The remainder for the commission will be invoiced once either materials have arrived, or at most 3-4 weeks from first invoice payment.☆100% payment upfront is accepted.I do not accept payment plans.☆Cancellations while progress has begun I will refund the funds that have been unused for materials and time spent, calculated by myself. I will not give unfinished heads or fursuit parts.☆Cancellations before any purchases have been made can be discussed for a full refund, provided no more than 14 days have passed since initial payment.
Once a fursuit is completed no refund will be given. Refunds will be given by payment plan, over 1-2 months.☆Starbird Art has the right to cancel any commissions.
Deadlines
☆I will give a rough deadline on a fursuit, no rush orders will be done if you need it sooner. If you do need something in a certain amount of time that must be communicated, otherwise it is fully up to me when the completion shall be.
Customers will be notified of any delays such as material ordering, machine repairs, personal time off and illness.
Warranty and Shipping
☆Any damages caused by mishandling or alterations are not covered by any warranty, I will provide free repairs in the first 6 months after receiving the suit. Any damage that I see is not caused by my own crafting means I have the right to turn down the repair. Suit parts needing to be repaired must be mailed/transported at your own cost.☆Postage calculated once an order is completed. I will require your full legal name for postage.☆No drop off or pickup service unless local and own transport is provided. Partials or suits can be taken to local meets or conventions as long as I am attending and in the case any flight luggage allowance is paid for by the client.
Personal Use of Fursuit
☆You may do whatever you like once you own your fursuit.
Actions of any individuals do not reflect Starbird Art as a business.
Starbird Art is not responsible for any illegal activities done in a fursuit and does not reflect the business. Also applies for fursuits worn in protests and religious activities.
Privacy
☆Any private information given to me will not be shared, or given to 3rd parties. Your personal information will only be used to contact you and ship your fursuit.
Any posting of the fursuit on social media please credit Starbird ArtIn the comments section of your fursuit quote form, enter the word "Tangy" for a small discount, along with comments if you have any to show you have read through my terms of service.Please let me know of any issues regarding the suit and comfort/durability etc. I am a new maker and greatly appreciate knowing how things go!
